Responsibilities
Develop internship opportunities
Work alongside colleagues (who are participating as faculty members on the grant) to develop internship opportunities for undergraduate students in the Humanities.
Develop improved support systems for students pursuing internships
Work alongside colleagues to develop and implement new policies, communication processes, advising strategies, and marketing materials to assist students, particularly first-generation students, in securing internships and achieving success at their internship placements.
Locate and secure new internship sites
Work alongside colleagues to establish between 5-10 new internship sites for students in the Humanities. These sites will be located in central Illinois, with a particular focus on development in the Peoria and Bloomington-Normal metropolitan areas.
Communicate information about new internships
Work alongside colleagues to effectively communicate information about new internship processes and opportunities to Humanities faculty and students.
Administer grant processes and procedures
Write and submit required reports to the NEH through the duration of the grant. Manage grant budget, including requisitions and reimbursements for faculty participating in the grant.
